Selection process
- 1Computer Based ExaminationObjective Type Multiple Choice examination in three Parts. Minimum qualifying marks: UR 30%, OBC/EWS 25%, All Other Categories 20%. If conducted in multiple shifts, marks will be normalized and such normalized scores will be used to determine final merit and cut-off marks.
- 2Shortlisting for Skill TestBased on the marks scored in the Computer Based Examination, candidates will be shortlisted, category-wise, to appear in the Skill Test(s) for the post(s) they have applied for.
- 3Skill Test in StenographyMandatory but qualifying in nature. The Commission will fix category-wise qualifying standards in the Skill Test for each post.
- 4Post Preferences / First Round of Tentative Allocation (FRTA) and final allocationPreferences for posts and departments are taken through an Online Option Form before declaration of the FRTA/result. The Commission makes FRTA/final allocation of posts on the basis of the performance of candidates in the Computer Based Examination and merit-cum-preferences of Posts/Departments given by the candidates.
- 5Document Verification (DV)Conducted by the User Departments/Organizations after declaration of the final result.
Merit kaise banti hai: Candidates who qualify the Skill Test are considered for FRTA/final selection on the basis of their merit in the Computer Based Examination (the Skill Test is only qualifying). Ties in aggregate Computer Based Examination marks are resolved by: (1) marks in Part-III (English Language and Comprehension), (2) marks in Part-II (General Awareness), (3) date of birth with older candidate placed higher, (4) alphabetical order of names.
