Does going out with wet hair give you a cold?
No. Colds are caused by viruses, mostly rhinoviruses, and wet hair cannot introduce one. You may feel cold because evaporation pulls heat from your scalp, but the cold itself does not give you an infection.

In English
Colds require a virus to reach the cells lining your nose or throat. Rhinovirus was isolated in 1965 and accounts for 30 to 50% of common colds, with coronaviruses, RSV, parainfluenza, and adenovirus making up most of the rest. The reason the wet-hair myth persists is that being cold does feel miserable, and people confuse correlation with causation: a child goes out wet-haired in November, gets sick two days later, and remembers the wet hair. The cold two days later is the incubation period of the actual virus, picked up from another person. A 2005 study from the Common Cold Centre in Cardiff found that chilling the feet did not increase the rate of infection in subjects given rhinovirus, although some studies suggest the immune response is mildly blunted in cold temperatures. The blanket advice is: dry your hair to feel comfortable, but the virus, not the temperature, is what makes you sick.
