These are statistical tendencies, not absolutes: in some left-handed people, language lives on the right. The 2013 study by researchers at the University of Utah, published in the journal PLOS ONE, scanned the resting brains of 1,011 people aged 7 to 29 and found no evidence that people use one hemisphere more than the other. The 'left-brained logical, right-brained creative' personality split is a pop-psychology fiction that ignores the dense, constant traffic between the two sides through the corpus callosum, a bundle of about 200 million nerve fibres.
